STUDENT VERIFICATION

IDENTITY VERIFICATION METHODS

To maintain integrity in the academic process, all students must verify their identities through:

  1. State-Issued ID Verification

    • All students must submit a valid government-issued ID during the enrollment process.

    • This ID is securely stored and used strictly for identity confirmation purposes.

  2. Secure Login Credentials

    • Students receive unique login credentials (username and password) for the Learning Management System (LMS).

    • The system logs all access and activity, providing an audit trail to monitor student participation.

    • Students are required to maintain the confidentiality of their credentials.

  3. Proctored Examinations

    • Select courses and exams require online or in-person proctoring to confirm student identity.

    • Proctors verify identity using photo ID verification and secure testing protocols.

    • Students are informed in advance of any proctoring requirements and associated costs.

  4. Engagement & Participation Monitoring

    • MCC tracks student participation through assignment submissions, discussion forums, and activity logs.

    • Any discrepancies in engagement patterns may prompt additional identity verification measures.

Transparency in Verification Fees

  • If a course requires proctoring services or other verification technologies, MCC notifies students before registration.

  • Any additional costs are clearly outlined in course materials to ensure full transparency.

Student Responsibilities

  • Students must not share login credentials and are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

  • Unauthorized access or fraudulent activity may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program.
